    • Campus Safety and Patrols

      Campus Safety and Patrols

Campus Safety monitors all vehicles entering campus through two designated access points. Our officers are stationed across four geographic zones and conduct 24/7 patrols by foot, police vehicles, and motorized carts.

We also collaborate with the Atlanta Police Department, Fulton County Sheriff's Office, and other campus police departments to patrol the Atlanta University Center (AUC) area. While the area around Morehouse is undergoing revitalization, we encourage everyone to stay mindful of their surroundings at all times.

    • Security and Technology

      Security and Technology

Morehouse has installed nearly 30 surveillance cameras throughout campus. Collectively, they cover about 70 percent of the open space on campus, with an emphasis on parking lots and pedestrian routes. The cameras are monitored 24 hours a day at Campus Safety.

We also employ solar-powered emergency call boxes, most of which are in view of a surveillance camera. Pushing the button on a call box immediately sends a message to the radio of every Campus Safety officer, giving him or her the location of the box. This system bypasses the need for an officer dispatch. The typical response time is three to five minutes.

      Mandatory Visible ID Policy

To further enhance our campus security measures, I am pleased to announce the rollout of our Mandatory Visible ID Policy, effective November 1, 2024.

      Mandatory Visible ID Policy Rollout

Beginning November 1, all members of the 榴莲视屏 community, including students, faculty, and staff, will be required to visibly display their ID cards while on campus. This policy is crucial for ensuring a safe and secure environment for everyone.

      Guest and Vendor Check-in Process

All non-Morehouse guests are required to enter through the Gloster booth gate. Upon arrival, guests and vendors will need to scan the QR code at the Gloster booth for check-in. The Lowery Street entrance will remain reserved exclusively for members of the Morehouse community who possess valid ID cards.
